Five responsive web design pitfalls to avoid
Gave my last two-dollar bill to a one-legged man.
@sifterapp Wow! You are setting a dangerous precedent for yourself with that kind of responsiveness.
Geez, who unleashed the tech recruiters? About to set a record for most unsolicited job opportunities in a single day.
@sifterapp Glad to hear it's on your radar, and very much looking forward to it.
Hate to say anything negative about @sifterapp, but the fact that it destroys markup in Descriptions without warning is really unfortunate.

Exploiting Reality
Dustin Curtis:
This morning, I received a LinkedIn message from a man named James Holm, who identified himself as a corporate recruiter with Weyland Industries. Weyland is the corporation that funded the the Prometheus project in the upcoming Ridley Scott movie of the same name.
I was really hoping this was the beginning of another massive Alternate Reality Game in the style of The Beast. Sadly, however, both links lead to standard promotional sites which ultimately dump you into a Facebook fan page.

This Is All Your App Is: a Collection of Tiny Details
Jeff Atwood:
This is still one of my favorite quotes about software. It’s something we internalized heavily when building Stack Overflow. Getting the details right is the difference between something that delights, and something customers tolerate.
Your software, your product, is nothing more than a collection of tiny details. If you don’t obsess over all those details, if you think it’s OK to concentrate on the “important” parts and continue to ignore the other umpteen dozen tiny little ways your product annoys the people who use it on a daily basis – you’re not creating great software.
